“Space Mining and Tunnelling” is an intermediate-level digital course that bridges the gap between beginner and advanced knowledge, focusing on the exciting world of extracting resources in space, particularly on the Moon. This course not only provides you with in-depth knowledge of space mining and tunnelling but also introduces you to the broader goal of Moon Trades, a pioneering start-up company that’s using cutting-edge technology to revolutionize lunar resource exploration. By the end of the course, you'll have a deep understanding of the technology challenges, use cases, and the future of space resource extraction.

Course Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the concept of space mining and its significance.

  2. Identify the current technology challenges in lunar mining and tunnelling.

  3. Understand the key minerals and resources on the Moon and Earth.

  4. Describe the use cases for lunar mining, including space exploration and resource utilization.

  5. Analyze the potential of AI and VR in space resource characterization.

  6. Discuss Moon Trades and its mission in lunar resource exploration.

The course will include a “Vocabulary Link” to our space-related glossary.

All participants who complete this course will be eligible for an accredited Certificate of Completion issued by Moon Trades and our partner organization: Global STEM Initiative (GSI). All final assessments and certification eligibility meet CPD accreditation standards and can be used internationally to further your academic knowledge in the realm of space sciences.
